The tripoint of Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar, Chiangrai is situated right at the heart of the so-called Golden Triangle of Thailand. The monsoon influence divides the weather in Chiang Rai into two seasons: hot and wet from late April through October while cool and dry during the remaining months. Used to be the capital of ancient Lanna Kingdom, culture in Chiangrai is defined by intricate cuisine in color, texture, and taste. The grandeur temples of Wat Rong Khun, a full white temple, is another magnet for tourism in Chiangrai.
