Day 1: Bangkok arrival

Today is your arrival in Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. Meet your guide at the meeting point area then private transfer to check-in at the hotel, the balance of the day is free at leisure. You will overnight in Bangkok.

Day 2: Bangkok – Ayutthaya – Sukhothai
  • In the morning

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before your pickup for a private transfer to Ayutthaya. You will first visit the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, a royal retreat since the 17th century. Next, explore Wat Niwet Thammarat, Thailand's only Neo-Gothic monastery. You will then enjoy a scenic boat ride along the river before heading to the ancient town. There, you will explore the three pagodas at Wat Phra Sri Sanpetch, a model for the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. After a delicious Thai lunch, visit Wat Mahathat to see the famous Buddha head entwined in tree roots. Finally, conclude your tour at Wat Chaiwattanaram, built in 1630 by King Prasat Thong.

You will start your long 365kms journey to Sukhothai. You will overnight in Sukhothai.

Day 3: Bangkok – Ayutthaya – Sukhothai

You will transfer to Sukhothai Historical Park to explore the ruins of Thailand's first capital, established from 1257 to 1379. Highlights include Wat Mahathat, Wat Sasi, Wat Sri Sawai, and Wat Sri Chum. You will then continue your journey to Lampang, covering a distance of 191 km in about 2 hours. In Lampang, visit Wat Phrathat Lampang Luang before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant. After your meal, you will continue your trip to Chiang Mai, located 92 km away, and check in to your accommodation, where you can relax at your leisure.

Depart from the hotel in a local "Tuk-Tuk" to Varoros Market, known as “Kad Luang,” the main local market in Chiang Mai that has been around for over 100 years. Inside the market, you will taste fresh seasonal tropical fruits, try the delicious Northern Thai sausage, Sai Oua, and enjoy refreshing Thai iced tea, made to local taste. Then, you will ride to the bustling night market at Chang Puak Gate, where you can savor a variety of authentic Thai dishes. Don't miss the stewed pork leg from the famous vendor with the cowboy hat, known for attracting visits from culinary icons like Anthony Bourdain. For dessert, indulge in Bua Loi, a warm coconut milk broth filled with tiny, pandan-flavored glutinous rice flour balls.

You will take a ride with Tuk-Tuk to see Chiang Mai nightlife around the old city. You will overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 4: Chiang Mai – Elephant Sanctuary
  • In the morning

Start your day by making merit with mendicant Buddhist monks before returning to the hotel for breakfast. Afterward, enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive to the Sanctuary, where you'll meet your English-speaking guide, learn about the elephants, and change into traditional Karen clothing. Feed the elephants bananas and sugar cane as you explore the Sanctuary, interacting with them and hearing their stories. Join the elephants at a mud spa for a fun, healthy treatment, then head to a river for a refreshing bath, helping to wash and brush them. After capturing final photos, enjoy snacks and seasonal fruit while taking in the scenery, followed by lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Chiang Mai.

Upon arrival in Chiang Mai, we transfer to visit Wat Phra Singh with its famous Buddha image, then, visit silver temple (Wat Sri Suphan) and the must-see Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, tucked away in the mountains at 3,520 feet (1,056 meters). The temple is reached by a staircase with 306 steps, flanked by a Naga balustrade on either side. The Monastery was built by King Gue-Na in 1383. The center is a big Chedi spired pagoda which contains partial relics of Lord Buddha return to Chiang Mai town in the evening. You will overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 5: Chiang Mai – Chiang Rai & Golden Triangle

You will drive through mountainous landscape to Chiang Rai via Wiang Papao route. The, you will get to visit hot spring and the must see Wat Rong Khun (white temple) in Chiang Rai.

  • In the afternoon

After refreshment, transfer to visit Baan dam (black house) of the Thailand's artist to see the collection of artwork – sculptures, wood carvings, and furniture created by him, and collected from around the world, then, transfer up to the northernmost Thai town on the Burmese border where you have the opportunity for shopping and looking around the local market and transfer to visit the view point at Golden Triangle and enjoy boat trip on Mekong River, cruising close-by the border of three countries, where you can see the simple & traditional lifestyle, return to local pier in Chiang Rai. You will overnight in Chiang Rai.

Day 6: Chiang Rai – Tham Luang Cave – Chiang Mai

It's time to visit part of Doi Nang Non or "Mountain of the Sleeping lady, The most popular cave is the Tham Luang cave (closed during rainy season) which extends several kilometers into the mountain, after visited Tham Luang cave, continue transfer to Chiang Mai via Fang and Thaton.

Day 7: Chiang Mai – Flight to Hanoi

Today, you will be flying to Hanoi, Vietnam.

Day 8: Hanoi City Tour

You will first visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a monument honoring the great leader Ho Chi Minh, along with the nearby One Pillar Pagoda and his ancient house. After spending about two hours at these sites, you will continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, dedicated to Confucius (Khong Tu).

  • In the afternoon

Next, you will head to the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which highlights the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam. You will spend about two hours exploring the museum before being transferred back to the Old Quarter to visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. Finally, you will get to sit on a Cyclo to move around the Old Quarter and experience the local life. You will overnight in Hanoi.

Day 9: Hanoi – Ha Long bay/ Lan Ha bay

You are transferred by a speedboat/ tender from Indochina Sails’s Tuan Chau Pier to Indochine Cruise. Enjoy your welcome drink while listening to the cruise brief and safety instructions.

  • In the afternoon

The crew will take you to explore the Dark and Bright grotto, also known as Bat Cave, famous for its stunning limestone formations and unique natural habitat. Enjoy a relaxing experience kayaking or taking a bamboo sampan ride guided by locals through the tranquil tunnels. Afterward, return to the cruise for a refreshing swim in the bay before setting sail for about 30 minutes to anchor for the night.

Attend a Fruit and Vegetable Carving Lesson led by our Head Chef, who will demonstrate traditional Vietnamese food decoration techniques. Then, participate in fun activities, including board games like cards or Parcheesi, or try your luck at squid fishing on the boat with assistance from the crew. You will overnight on the cruise.

Day 10: Halong – Hanoi – Flight to Danang – Hoi An

Start your day with a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck, followed by a visit to Trung Trang Cave on Cat Ba Island with the cruise crew. Afterward, you'll have 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing, ensuring you collect all your belongings and leave heavy luggage outside your cabin. Then, enjoy a brunch in the restaurant, settling your bills afterward. Relax on the sundeck or in the restaurant while taking in the beautiful bay scenery as you approach the pier. Finally, arrive at Indochina Sails’s Pier at Tuan Chau Port.

You will attend on your flight to Danang this afternoon. You will overnight in Hoian.

Day 11: Tra Que village – Hoi An Walking tour

Begin your day with a hotel pickup and a bike ride to Tra Que village (or a car if biking isn't possible). Learn about the village's history, vegetable cultivation, and traditional uses in medicine. Join local farmers in preparing the land and participating in gardening activities like raking and sowing. Then, ride to Cam Thanh village and board a boat to explore the Bay Mau coconut water forest, where you can row basket boats with locals and shop for handmade souvenirs. Finally, return to a local family for a relaxing foot massage with medicinal herbs, followed by preparing and enjoying a traditional Hoi An lunch together.

In the afternoon, ride back to Hoi An town to explore this World Heritage site. Discover the delights of Hoi An, from expert dressmakers who can craft a complete outfit in just a couple of days to a scenic dawn photo trip along the river. Visit the bustling local market and wander through charming alleys to see the Chinese Assembly Hall, the famous Japanese Covered Bridge, Tan Ky Ancient House, and Chinatown across the canal. You will overnight in Hoian.

Day 12: Hoi An – Da Nang – Hue

Today, you will begin your journey to Hue. Your first stop is Marble Mountain, where you'll visit the Non Nuoc stone carving village, one of the four ancient villages in Quang Nam-Da Nang. Next, you can climb to Thuy Son, the largest and most beautiful mountain in Da Nang (an elevator is available if you prefer not to climb). Continue to Da Nang city to explore the Cham Museum, home to a remarkable collection of open-air sandstone carvings.

After lunch, visit Linh Ung Pagoda, home to Vietnam's tallest Goddess of Mercy statue, offering stunning views of Da Nang beach and the Cham Islands. Then, continue your journey as you pass through Hai Van Pass and Lang Co, where you'll enjoy spectacular views of the South-East Sea along the Truong Son Mountain Range. You will overnight in Hue city.

Day 13: Hue city tour – Flight to Ho Chi Minh

You will visit the Mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang Hue. This an awe-inspiring UNESCO World Heritage site, nestles in the vicinity of Hue city. With its stunning landscape, intricate architecture and fascinating stories which reflect the grandeur of the Nguyen Dynasty, the Mausoleum has enraptured visitors and become one of the most popular places to visit in Hue.

After lunch, you will visit Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City, created in the 19th century for the Emperors of the Nguyen Dynasty. Then, you will attend on your flight to Ho Chi Minh city. You will overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 14: Cu Chi Tunnels – Ho Chi Minh city tour

After breakfast, you’ll meet our guide in the hotel lobby and be transferred to the Cu Chi tunnels. This site is renowned for its 200-kilometer-long underground network, constructed by the Vietcong during the Vietnam War. Visiting the tunnels offers a unique opportunity to reflect on Vietnam's wartime history and understand how the country defended itself against invaders.

You will spend your afternoon visiting the hightlights of Ho Chi Minh city. Start with the War Remnants Museum, which showcases the evidence and consequences of the war's impact on Vietnam. Next, visit the Central Post Office, one of Ho Chi Minh City's oldest buildings, featuring a captivating mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and French architectural styles. Finally, explore Notre Dame Cathedral, a symbol of the vibrant city, located downtown and standing at an impressive height of 60 meters. You will overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 15: Ho Chi Minh Departure
