Mysterious and outrageously beautiful are a few words to describe Bagan. Stretching around 40 km square with about 2,300 religious ruins, Bagan is such a great town for spiritual connection. Lying in the dry zone sealed by the Rakhine Yoma mountain range in the west, Bagan enjoys little to no rainfall all year round. This kind of harsh weather turns out to be an advantage for a hot air balloon ride, a perfect way to catch sight of all shapes and sizes of numerous monasteries, pagodas, libraries, ordination halls, and caves.
