On June 5, 2025, the MICHELIN Guide announced its updated selections for Vietnam, continuing to highlight the culinary strengths of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang. This marks the third edition of the guide in Vietnam, with a total of 181 establishments now featured across the three cities.

Overview of the 2025 Edition

The guide includes:

  • 9 One MICHELIN Star restaurants

  • 2 Green Star restaurants for sustainable practices

  • 63 Bib Gourmand restaurants known for quality and value

  • 109 MICHELIN Selected restaurants for consistent quality and creativity

Each of these categories serves as a reliable reference for travelers interested in exploring Vietnam’s food scene—ranging from fine dining to street food.

One MICHELIN Star Restaurants

In the 2025 edition, Vietnam now has nine One Star restaurants, including two new additions. These restaurants are recognized for the high quality of their cooking. Notable names include:

  • Gia (Hanoi) – modern Vietnamese cuisine
  • Tầm Vị (Hanoi) – traditional northern dishes
  • Ănăn Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) – contemporary take on street food
  • Coco Dining and CieL (Ho Chi Minh City) – newly awarded in 2025
  • La Maison 1888 (Da Nang) – refined French cuisine in a coastal setting

Each restaurant reflects a different approach to flavor, presentation, and culinary vision.

Green Stars: Spotlight on Sustainability

The Green Star category honors restaurants that combine culinary excellence with environmental responsibility. In 2025, two restaurants in Vietnam hold this title:

  • Lamai Garden (Hanoi) – newly awarded
  • Nén Danang (Da Nang) – retained from the previous year

These restaurants emphasize local sourcing, eco-friendly operations, and a sustainable approach to dining.

Bib Gourmand Selections

Known for their “value-for-money” dining experiences, 63 restaurants are listed under Bib Gourmand this year. These venues offer quality local food at approachable prices. Highlights include street food stalls and family-run eateries, offering dishes like pho, bun rieu, and bánh xèo.

New additions span all three cities, reflecting a growing diversity in Vietnam’s mid-range culinary offerings.

MICHELIN Selected Restaurants

The MICHELIN Selected category includes restaurants recognized for consistent cooking, creativity, and character. This year, 109 restaurants are featured, including 14 new entries.

These establishments may not have a star or Bib Gourmand status, but they still meet the MICHELIN Guide’s standards for quality and technique.
