Authentic Asia™ DMC unlocks India's new destinations at Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) 2024

During the trip to India from February 7-9, 2024, Authentic Asia seized the opportunity to engage with numerous travel industry professionals at the fifth edition of Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB), hosted at Eco Retreat Konark, Odisha, India. 

Organized by the Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), OTB 2024 emphasized fostering business connections between international and domestic buyers and tourism sellers of Odisha, while enhancing Odisha's brand presence on the global travel map.

Proudly among 55 foreign tour operators from 16 countries, including Belgium, Malaysia, Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, and the United Kingdom, Authentic Asia participated in B2B meetings and exchange activities with local tour operators, businesses, and hotels. We were introduced to the diverse travel opportunities Odisha offers, from its rich cultural heritage and festivals to its abundance of Buddhist relics, making it an ideal destination for pilgrimage tours. 

Discussions also delved into sustainable tourism, aligning with Odisha's vision to position itself as "India's best-kept secret." Following the event, familiarization (FAM) trips were organized for Authentic Asia and other tour operators to experience Odisha's natural beauty firsthand, including eco retreats developed by local authorities. Highlights included the mesmerizing light show at the Konark Sun Temple, offering insights into Odisha's rich history and culture while promoting responsible tourism practices to preserve ancient ruins.
